Thumbs up Subaru 086A STi version info and photo impression

New image and info that the Subaru 086A STi Version will use the EJ25 2.5L. Turbo version also being considered. Slap an AWD tranny on that and they got a hit.

If this version of the car does happen, I doubt it will look like the Toyota FT-86.

pretty nice. might get this over the FT86 if it comes with AWD, Turbo and sequential transmission of sorts. plus hopefully have options to have the hood and roof in carbon fibre and other parts of the car as well.

i know the car would be like $60k or something.

Subaru, though, traditionally, has not done well trying to sell coupes in the American market. Even the WRX and STi, like the Mitsubushi Evo, have been mostly four-doors.

It's a cobbled together mule for testing, for crying out loud. What do you expect? You won't see a mule resembling the concept car for at least another 6 months or so.

I don't think the SVX qualifys as a good try. I would be a prospect for this car as long as I don't have to pay for & transport useless AWD gear

The SVX was unique sports coupe. However, how many potential buyers do you think went and looked elsewhere when they discovered a 4 speed auto was the only option?

I know its a proto and I dont expect much from it, but I did however get this these two cars mixed up:

http://www.autoblog.com/2009/10/06/t...k-the-hachiro/

I thought these two cars were one in the same
