I have to agree. The 350 Z and the G35 seemed to explode onto the scene in 2003 and now the 370 Z is just barely eeking out of show rooms

^^^ Yeah, but it might be worth taking into consideration that the 350Z came after a hiatus so there was more "allure" or something about it. The 370Z came to replace the 350 which has been on the market since '03 so that might take away from it in some sense. Though as mentioned, it could just be a reflection of the economy.

That's because when the 350Z debuted in 2003, it was more of a novelty. Nissan had not sold a real sports car in the American market since the 300ZX of the early-mid 90's. The 370Z, for the most past, simply followed on the 350's heels and played second fiddle.
