2010 prius impressions...

Yes, I know that you are a credible poster ....as are the majority of posters here on CAR CHAT. But it's hard to imagine any real tirespin out of a Prius, no matter how you have the system programed.
On dry pavement? You wouldn't necessarily have to be on ice, but seems like it would probably have to be on a lower-friction surface. And the Prius, like most Toyota products, has a pretty low-tolerance traction-control unit that doesn't allow much spin even if you can induce some.

Here are two videos on ice (yes we got snow already.. how sad). You'll hear (and see in the 2nd video) that the TRAC does allow wheelspin and it doesn't cut off immediately

But I posted 3 pics lol. I guess the first one wasn't very obvious cause I couldn't link the pic so I'll post the link again

I like this bodykit and the wheels complement the kit nicely imo.

Thx for sharing the review, it was an interesting read. I think the moniker 'sales droid' is pretty funny, it applies to large department stores as well. As for the 2010 Prius, I like the way it looks better than the prior gen, but I have yet to check it out.

If they felt enough demand, it would be easy to add an electric motor to drive the rear wheels like on the 400h AWD. It would be a way to improve performance with very minor mpg impact. The major technical issue is room in that area.

^Wow. Not a big fan of the wheels but I'll take one in matte black please!
Anyone know what a matte black paint job would run in comparison to a regular paint finish?
Looking at all these modded Prius's reminds me that I've never seen a modded Prius in person and I've seen 10's of thousands of Prius's. This is one car people keep bone stock 99.99% of the time.

AWD is one of my main criteria for vehicles. I've had it for most of my years driving, I don't ever want to be without it. The choice of hybrid sedans with AWD is slim...limited to the LS600hL. Of course, its been years since we have seen an AWD Camry so why would Toyota offer an AWD Prius?

Not sure but you can do vinyl wraps which I presume is cheaper than a paint job.
