On dry pavement? You wouldn't necessarily have to be on ice, but seems like it would probably have to be on a lower-friction surface. And the Prius, like most Toyota products, has a pretty low-tolerance traction-control unit that doesn't allow much spin even if you can induce some.
Well i did say "eco tyres" . It's not that hard to spin them on dry pavement. Then again, I couldn't do it in the old Prius (I know, it had different eco tyres but I think my Bridgestone Ecopia has more grip than the Goodyear Integrity)

Here are two videos on ice (yes we got snow already.. how sad). You'll hear (and see in the 2nd video) that the TRAC does allow wheelspin and it doesn't cut off immediately

But I posted 3 pics lol. I guess the first one wasn't very obvious cause I couldn't link the pic so I'll post the link again

I like this bodykit and the wheels complement the kit nicely imo.

Agreed, those are sum pimpin hybrids.

Around here there are a lot of new Prius cars but typically the only mod is 35% tint.

Not modded but I think a black Prius with the stock 17s and LED headlights look pretty hot

Thx for sharing the review, it was an interesting read. I think the moniker 'sales droid' is pretty funny, it applies to large department stores as well. As for the 2010 Prius, I like the way it looks better than the prior gen, but I have yet to check it out.

Do you think they will ever make a AWD version of the Prius?

If they felt enough demand, it would be easy to add an electric motor to drive the rear wheels like on the 400h AWD. It would be a way to improve performance with very minor mpg impact. The major technical issue is room in that area.

^Wow. Not a big fan of the wheels but I'll take one in matte black please!

Anyone know what a matte black paint job would run in comparison to a regular paint finish?

Looking at all these modded Prius's reminds me that I've never seen a modded Prius in person and I've seen 10's of thousands of Prius's. This is one car people keep bone stock 99.99% of the time.

AWD is one of my main criteria for vehicles. I've had it for most of my years driving, I don't ever want to be without it. The choice of hybrid sedans with AWD is slim...limited to the LS600hL. Of course, its been years since we have seen an AWD Camry so why would Toyota offer an AWD Prius?

Yeah it seems AWD is limited to hatchbacks, wagons and SUVs (i.e. cars that ppl would use to travel or go up to the mountains). I wouldn't mind a 4WD-i vehicle (like an AWD Prius or AWD TCH). An extra electric motor should weigh less than a traditional AWD setup and its components.

Not sure but you can do vinyl wraps which I presume is cheaper than a paint job.
