The V is an amazing vehicle and the price is a complete bargain compared to other luxury performance cars. I looked at one again yesterday and with $6K dealer cash available can pick one up all in for $72K. That's the same price as a fully loaded new F up here. I then looked at an M3 sedan and they price out to just a hair under $90K up here.![Uhh...](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/1387914497.gif)

Here's the best part: Anyone who happens to own a new comparable sport sedan, such as a BMW M3 or M5, perhaps a Mercedes-Benz AMG sedan or the Audi S4 (not to mention the Mitsubishi Evolution), is welcome to submit themselves for consideration to take part in the festivities in New York.

I would say so too, but you know there will be some who take the results of this challenge very seriously.

The last gen CTS V was a pos that had major tranny and differential issues on top of all the the other little problems it had. Too much money for far too little car at the time.

for the cts-v to beat an m3 by 8 seconds on a track is INCREDIBLE. the m3 is by no means a slow car and 8 seconds is an eternity on the track

Huge thread on this topic over on M3post.
Apparently Michael Cooper is some young kid who doesn't have any track experience other than attending Skip Barber's performance driving school.
It's amusing to read all the fanbois touting the M3 as the greatest thing since sliced bread.....then Michael comes on and states that he also got to drive the V afterwards for a couple of laps and that it is clearly the faster car.
