they have one at my local bmw dealership, it's just as ugly as the normal x6 imho. my wife saw the car and she asked me how can bmw make this ugly car. i told her about the m part and she was like "why would i care about performance on this ugly car?"

i laughed.

and regarding post 21, i agree there are people like that, those are called young and immature kids. at the same time, i also notice that a lot of people who defend their cars by attacking others, they are the ones with serious identity issues. i know a few true class exotic owners, they are humble, they listen, and they explain.

well, just my observation anyway

I'll change this to an RS6.... and would take it (at 580HP) over ANY other car/SUV/SAC period. IMO, the best combo performance/luxury/utility vehicle available... alas, not to be here in the states..

For the S4, I would assume they are pretty even, I would guess the X6 M has better slalom numbers but not sure....

For starters, it will out acclerate the S4, out handle an S4, over power an S4.

Guys who live in Germany have an opportunity to take their X6M's on the Nordschliefe. Guess what? This bully is quicker around that track than the amazing E46 M3.. There is more but you can do your research.. Or better yet, test drive one..

There is an S4 here in Canada so I'm fairly certain that there is one in the U.S. No Avant, though.

Correct, 2010 S4 sedan just debuted in US, no Avant

Okay
The RS6 is no S4 so no its not some automatic win for the BMW. The USA does not get the current RS6. To be honest the X6 V-8 turbo is all you need and if you look at reviews, that is what is recommended. THe X6 M is "cool" in that it is offered, but it is overkill. Where are you going to exploit it at? Reviews have been lackluster at best.

Sure it laps the ring faster than the old M3. Are you going to drive it at the Ring? What are your priorities in a vehicle? Does 12 MPG sound good? Do you want less utility than an X5 M?

Take it for a test drive if you can but honestly you already know what it is. Its Hussein Bolt in high heels. It is fast, its big and has some utility and drives pretty close to a car.

The M version feels less and less special to me since BMW would make a M for almost all of its models, just like AMG. Regular X6 is nice, but this X6 M and X5 M are superfluous.

Agree Sick... I would lean towards an X5 M-sport package>X5 M> X6> X6 M.... after that, no comment
