booooooorrrrriiiiiinnnnnnggggg.............

is it just me or are the new ones all beginning to look the same?
BMW's once had a unique style I thought; but most new cars, especially sedans, are way too generic nowadays anyway

Very nice update. But then again, ANYTHING is better than the flamboyant Dame Etna headlights and tacked on AMT/Revell trunklid of the current model.

I agree, anything is better than the current 5 series. When I test drove the 535 last year, I could not believe how much they wanted for the car. Performance was only aspect that impressed me about the car, everything else was average or even below average for a car priced at $60000. I hope BMW will improve on the interior of the new 5, the old interior belongs in a funeral home. The new tail lights are much nicer than the current Japanese cartoon eyes tail lights and overall it is back to more of a classis BMW design.

I like it, but I hate the fact that some cars look like an X6 from the rear.

Yes it is nicer than the previous. I'm not really big on this whole Small, Medium, Large they're creating, (all look the same but in various sizes).

For people who are not familar with the Lexus line, from a distance, they get confuse between the ES, IS and the GS, sometimes even the LS.

Huh?

Anybody confusing an ES with an IS, GS, or LS is completely retarded.

Ahh BMW is back to their old selves with the small, med, large design. (i.e. strong familiar resemblance). MB and Audi have managed to retain that in the past years better than BMW.

Looks more subtle, to me it looks like a blend of E90 and E39 design cues...
