oh i see what they're doing.
looks like a blown up last gen 3 series.
i like that the kidney grilles are smaller, and not so much like pig nostrils.
looks like it's gonna be another clean timeless design.

I see a lot of e39 in the new 7 as well. Will definitely think about trading the 550i in 2011 for this...

I agree, this looks much better then the current polarizing bangle 5 series and seems like a evolution of the previous much better looking E39 5 series. Every time I see the current 5 series or have sat in it I still can't believe how they sell so well and why people spend so much on them. Even if it is mainly for the "badge" and "image" I found the last E class much nicer looking inside and out then the 5 series and it has the "badge". This new one looks like a cross between the new 7 series and 3 series and it does not look like the design will be polarizing anymore. Hopefully the interior is a big step up from the current 3 and 5 series which is another weak point, making i drive just an "option" would be great.

I love how they cover the badge ... as if that's going to trick people
Car is very alright, I like the E60 but I can see where it might be too 'out there' for some people in that demographic, but I think it pushed the envelope for the other guys to make a cooler saloon.
