It would be too logical to put the SH-AWD into the TSF wagon for Acura to actually do it. That wagon should come with the SH-AWD and be available with the V6.

The Caddy web site shows 5 models of the CTS wagon (all V6's) with base prices running $41.7k - $53.6k.

If the TSX sedan is $38000 max, then the wagon will be another $5000 and another $2000 for the SH-AWD. Thats one expensive wagon at $45000. It will no longer will a direct competitor of Subrau, it will be more in the territory of a 3-series wagon or the A4 advant.

but the Caddy is the size of a 5-series, has a legit V6 doing 300+ horsepower, is RWD, and looks ridiculously sexy...

The TSX and MDX are the only models that I'm only slightly okay with the beak grille. But I seriously hope they keep a normal grille on this one.

Is it possible to do a grille swap?

Nice enough, but sports wagons tend to sell poorly in the US.

Note: Venza is not a sports wagon.

Am I missing something or what is the excitement about? Is this going to be a turbo, AWD, manual killer or something?

Its an Accord wagon.

To add to more confusion they purposely AVOIDED the wagon with the Honda Crosstour. It will be V-6 only with AWD and priced as much if not more than the I-4 FWD TSX wagon, adding to more confusion to where the Acura lineup stands.

No excitement, other than the Acura execs trying to pump themselves up.

It's not bad, but will North America take kindly to something actually called a 'wagon'? Wagons are everywhere for sure, but for some reason, Americans see wagons as

You want to sell a 'wagon' in NA? call it a something-cross

Come on now. I grew up with those big "wagons". Sure they were gas-guzzlers, and handled like battleships, but they were COMFORTABLE, and had tons of space.

What one actually calls a vehicle, BTW, means little or nothing. "Cross", "Wagon", "Hatchback", "Squareback", "SportWagon", what have you, it all means basically the same thing. People don't care so much what a car is called as much as they do what it it DOES. And that basic body style, of course, is versatile and quite useful.

The reason that they are not more popular here in America is that many Americans either don't want, or don't need, the extra utility offered by that body style and, for the most part, have generally preferred sedans. Also, SUV's and minivans have cut deeply into the territory formerly held by "Wagons".

Good points Mike thus they have their own RDX which will surely be priced where this wagon will be.
