I still don't understand the concept of the 550i GT. Hell, I still haven't understood the concept of the X6. Wtf BMW.

A new 5-series GT pulled up next to me at the lights and I was surprised how big it seemed, at first I thought it was an X6, so wide and tall it was. I'm still not sure what new niche market BMW are going after with this.

BMW's new supersized front end and pig nose really requires big rims to look in proportion. The X1 with those tiny wheels looks like a shoe.

Wow, the X1 really looks like a tall wagon. Definitely competitive with the Infiniti EX35. Both have that long low slung profile

I think the idea is that if BMW has every possible segment covered (reguardless of how small), there wont be a reason why anyone would pick something other than a BMW.

Which vehicles are sharing platforms is the bigger question. If each car is entirely its own from the ground up, that's a lot of $$.

I get the GT, the X6 and X1 can go away. Too many damn SUVs on the roads as it is. The GT actually really makes sense if BMW is going to expand its hybrids. More room for the batteries.
