Default Brand new 2009 Mercedes E350 going for $35,500 or less

Looks like depending on your dealer the clearance is pretty aggressive on the old gen E350s.

Note if you have USAA insurance you can get another 1,000 to 5,000 off.

Yep, IMO you need to get all these discounts and then some to cover your posterior (partially) from the high depreciation rate.

I think the OP is talking about a new 2009 E-class, not a used one.

Several people in that thread have duplicated the results. I'm sure it doesn't work at all dealers but obviously it's working with some dealers. People on that forum don't screw around... they're all business. If they say they got the deal, they did.

I got a hell of a deal on my 335i. So good of a deal that before I actually got it but while I was working up the numbers I got a very similar response to yours from a lot of people on the 335i forums. Guess who was laughing when the papers were signed.

i posted in that slickdeals thread a few weeks ago. i was able to get $21k off msrp. i needed a new DD and picked up a brand new E550. my dealer in florida actually gave me this deal and located the exact car i wanted on the other side of the country. im sure for instock cars, the deals were even better. and this was without the usaa discount which would have ben another $4-5k off. MB had a lot of trunk money on the W211 cars at the time, plus dealers selling for under invoice and giving the customer the holdback money just to get the 09's off the lot. i doubt there are many more 09's left in the country now.

Totally depends where you are and who you're talking to for how good of a deal you're going to get.

Try getting a deal anywhere in Vancouver, good luck; but I bet if you went to Detriot trying to get the same thing you could.

How much did you pay for it out the door? Out the door meaning after taxes, fees, etc. how much was out of your bank account after you bought it?

Agreed.

Benz doesn't typically offer much for deals here either unless it's at least a full year or more old.

try finding a used 2009 for 35k, not going to happen, let alone NEW...

that might be Employee Pricing, that I believe, coz they do offer crazy incentive for employee's... but not to the mass public... hellz no.
