Audi has officially passed Infiniti as they passed Lincoln last month. Infiniti in particalur has to feel awful as their highly taunted "turnaround" by their fans has well "turned around" again in such a short time.

Acura used to be the clear 4th brand in sales but buick and Caddy may just pass them by years end, faster than the 2010 prediction I made. With only he ZDX low volume vehicle coming (it will also fail) and nothing else and the competition stronger than ever, they will have an awful 2010.

Wow over 39K F-Series sold, unbelievable!

E-Class sales were also amazing, over 6,000! I really like the new E-Class redesign, great to see it doing well.

Prius sales were very solid, Venza sales are consistent.

ES and IS continue to be very solid, HS sales could be better, but are supply limited.

Civic sales don't look too good, Accord sales could be better.

OUCH for TL sales. ES sales were almost double! The Buick LaCrosse outsold the TL! Acura must be very thankful at least the TSX and MDX saw increases.

RX sales continue to be monstrous, the RX outsold the ENTIRE Infiniti brand by quite a margin! RX was close to outselling the Acura brand as well. RX amazingly even outsold the 3 Series.

Solid sales for Hyundai; Genesis sales continue to worry though. Yet another month with Genesis sales below 2,000, and the sales results *include both* coupe and sedan. ES sales were more than double that of the Genesis, IS sales also much more than the Genesis. HS, despite being supply-limited, came very close to outselling the Genesis.

Great job for Cadillac, nice sales increase. Cadillac is now easily outselling both Acura and Infiniti.

The gap is the widest it's been all year.
To anyone who said Lexus would lose the sales crown this year, they should be eating their words right about now .

Big fail on Infiniti's part. The brand is suffering almost as much as Acura. The one good thing Infiniti has going for it is that the brand is now sold in many international markets, widening worldwide appeal for the brand. Styling is also not as offensive as Acura's. Infiniti though is suffering from a big lack of product, as is Acura.

Clearly, Infiniti fans on the internet are lashing out because the brand is suffering.

To Infiniti's credit though, they do have a direction for the brand unlike Acura. Nissan just needs to invest more into the Infiniti brand in order to have more product.

Hybrids
Prius- 13,496
Insight- 1,739
RX 450h-1,567
HS 250h- 1,527
Civic hybrid- 239
GS 450h/LS 600h L- 60

Its clear the hybrid for "everyone" is not being bought by "everyone". The much more expensive HS and RX are selling almost as well.

The goal was 50k for Genesis sedans and coupes. I really really REALLY hope the public is giving these vehicles a shot. Selling 1800 a month of both is more than 1/2 that goal

It appears Lexus will retain the sales crown again for 2009. I'm sure Lexus will also keep the sales crown in 2010...Great job Lexus!

As TRD also pointed out Genesis sales seemed to have flattened out.

If the sedan is doing 1/2 or so the Genesis volume that's about 925-1,000 cars!

Compared to the new LaCrosse also with 2 engine choices 3,228, MKS @1,609.

What's up?

The outgoing '09 ES350 with only one model sold 4,413.

Volkswagen of America Announces October Sales

HERNDON, Va., Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Volkswagen of America, Inc. today reported October 2009 sales of 17,037 total units, representing a 7.2 percent increase over October 2008.

CC, Volkswagen's stylish four door coupe performed exceptionally well for the month with 2,349 unit sales, representing its best sales month since March.

The Jetta, consistently Volkswagen's top selling model, posted a 25 percent increase over October 2008 with 9,076 unit sales. Demonstrating that today's consumers are placing a greater emphasis on cleaner, more fuel efficient vehicles, Volkswagen's clean diesel TDI models continue to perform especially well. Jetta TDI sales accounted for 40 percent of total Jetta sedan and SportWagen sales, while sales of all TDI models accounted for 24 percent of total October sales.

"We're extremely pleased with our October sales results," said Mark Barnes, Chief Operating Officer, Volkswagen of America, Inc. "Our clean diesel TDI models continue to gain momentum in the market place, and the Golf and Touareg TDI's are welcome editions to our model lineup. As our stylish and elegant CC continues to gain market awareness, I'm confident that it will continue to gain sales momentum. It's a remarkable vehicle that truly represents what this brand is all about--affordable German engineering. With more and more of today's consumers looking for affordable, fuel efficient, and fun-to-drive vehicles without sacrificing refinement, our brand is well positioned for a bright future, " Barnes added.

What's up?

The outgoing '09 ES350 with only one model sold 4,413.
All the Genesis fans and those who were hyping it seem to have gone silent now.
