If nothing else, the porportions of the car looks nice. And it looks completely fuinished underneath, they should just bring it out next week

Camo or not, the greenhouse of the car can be clearly seen and personally it is very bland, very ordinary-looking. The greenhouse has NO style to it. Just based on the greenhouse alone, I would rather get a C-Class in terms of exterior styling.

BMW has rushed this a year ahead of schedule as competition has gotten stiff and they need the 3 to really bump sales. Expect evolutionary styling like the 7. I've never had an issue with any 3 series styling. I do find the current sedan to look pretty good and the coupe blander.

Compare the greenhouse strictly to the competition. I don't like how upright the windshield is, and how tall and boxy the greenhouse looks.

It doesn't even matter what the 3 Series will look like. As long as it is new people will buy it. Personally though, I've not really come across a 3 Series I can honestly say that I disliked. While I'm not fond of the current coupe styling I don't "hate" it.
I do wish that the current line would have evolved a bit more from the E46 though.

I don't mean to start a personal war or anything, but when I was talking about the LFA and certain design cues I had issues with two weeks before it was unveiled and basically completely uncovered, you blasted me for making judgements on a car that was still taped up and not finalized, and you're here seriously making judgements on a car that has basically no exposed body panels? Really?

It is very true that it will sell nomatter how they make them look like, they are so established in the market, even if it's aesthetically ugly, people will still somehow feel it is actually better looking than it really is, which they will otherwise think it's ugly had it not been a BMW but looks exactly the same.
I see examples like this for some MB models too. People will feel it looks better than it really is just because it's a Mercedes . . . the brand halo can be that strong ...
Having said that I optimistically believe the next 3-series AND the next 5-series will turn out to be better looking than the current version
