btw, consider a nice sporting car before you get too old to appreciate it.
I'm no stranger to sportiness. You forget, I had a bright yellow IS300 for almost 5 years (that's how I joined CL). That was a pretty good sporting machine.....and could outcorner most pony cars. In the 90's, I owned a bright-blue Toyota Celica for almost 6 years. I also had a V8 Plymouth Barracuda many years ago....and a Duster in the 70's. My dad, in the 60's, also owned a classic Thunderbird I often got to drive.
Subarus, though, are addicting. Once you've had one, it's hard to give them up.

I see, those are some huge gaps (decades) between serious modern sporting machinery and time marches on with serious progress. Yes some Subies have sporting aspects too, but not many (I know because my sister-in-law and mother own them). I do remember driving some of those old crude oldies including the 66 Mustang V8, good fun.
He will probably drive his SS a lot more responsibly than these young kids doing burnouts and tearing up the transmissions.
What? His attitude is what probably made him last this long. You do not buy a Camaro for luxury, reliability, etc. You buy a Camaro SS to kick ars on the streets. He is probably power braking at every signal and hitting the local street drags Fast and Furious style while picking up girls. Stranger things happen these days.

LOL! +1!

Maybe he is a 16 year old at heart and he IS doing donuts!
