Lexus LF-A Ride-Along with Scott Pruett at AutoClub Speedway, Fontana, CA

So i got lucky and won a ride-along in the brand new Lexus LF-A supercar at an exclusive Lexus event at AutoClub (formerly California) Speedway in Fontana, CA.
video is pretty nasty, was with the worst phone i've ever owned, a Samsung BlackJack II.
Video is Copyright ME! (PureDrifter) 2009
LF-A Specs:
* 4.8-liter 72-degree V10 putting out 560 hp at 8,700 RPM (thats 116.5 hp/liter) and 354 lb.-ft. of torque at 6,800 RPM
* Redline: 9,000 RPM
* Titanium valves, connecting rods, forged aluminum pistons, dry sump lubrication and a titanium exhaust manifold
* Six-speed sequential gearbox
* Torsen limited slip differential
* 3,263 pounds with a 48/52 front-to-rear weight distribution
* Power-to-weight ratio of 5.8 pounds/hp
* 65 percent of the body is carbon fiber
* 20-inch BBS wheels wrapped in 265/35 ZR20 Bridgestone tires in front and 305/30 ZR20 in the rear.
* 0-62 MPH (100 km/h) in 3.7 seconds
* Top speed of 201.94 MPH
Estimated Top Speed (from what i was told) on this run is ~172-175mph.
It wasnt the speed, it was the sheer G-Force you experience in the corners and on the oval. Pruett, a multiple time ALMS winner, is a ****ing beast behind the wheel, and yet makes it look RIDICULOUSLY easy (see-1 handed driving)

EDIT: excuse the coughing and wheezing, been sick past 2 days and barely made it out to this event!

i really appreciate you getting that up on youtube and sharing... sure it's jerky, but not easy recording with a phone in a car going that fast!
and yeah, it's amazing how easy the pros make it look.

Lucky bastard ><
I have one in the IS-F. I'll upload it later. I got in right when the sun went down so we got in it blind. Me and Phil were freaking out because we couldn't see the corners but our driver could

NICE! Was waiting for another Lexus drive event at Fontana, but it looks like this one was for officials only. What was the actual event put on?

They would not let you drive it? I drove the track a few years back and hit top of only 155mph-received a little certificate-in a NASCAR car that had immense grip. Wife hit 175+ on her ride a long. Awesome track. Considering how rare the LF-A is, it will be a rarity for a ride in one.
