Short and sweet... is the rear a liftgate or a barn door again?

Or is it a split gate?

I think the side profile shot of the Prado is a knockout...looks macho and elegant at the same time. I really like it.

I'm just sad that the GX going to have such a fugly face.

I can't imagine the 3rd row being usable with how high the ground clearance is. I hope they still make a 3 row crossover in the future :wish:

This is a huge improvement (from what I can see) over the current design.
Plus the seats fold flat unlike folding sideways taking up huge space

Edit: oops, I was thinking of trunk space. I'm curious on the 3rd row seating also.

From the rumor reports, I'm expecting the same type of rear door as the 1GX, but with the added window open feature.

yep... although window open feature is cool, it is not that useful. Of course, i never had an issue with prado rear doors, even though i live in european city.

it also gets electric folding 3rd row, which is very cool... beeps like crazy though :-)

Looks like a Toyota. Actually looks a lot like the old Highlander. Very disappointing...

Im sorry, these new Lexus SUV's are very boring and unattractive. The interior however is on point.

Along with the HS and ISc, it doesnt look like it commands the price (or badge) that they will be asking for.

The IS-C is ok, but I agree that the HS, this, and several of Lexus's new refreshes, look too cheap for the top dollar price. What happened to all of the attractive designs they had a few years ago? At this point I'm afraid for the new GS, ES, and IS, although the new RX isn't bad. FWIW, according to the 2010 GX thread in the GX section the base price is going to go up $4K to $51K

i also agree it's a bit on the bland side, doesn't have much unique style of its own, looks too much like other toyota or lexus suvs

i want to see more of the interior

Even the interior, the current design seem to look better than the new to me just from looking at the pictures ...
