Last year, Lexus still ran the ads, but changed them to 'remember what you wanted most when you were young?' / 'now you can buy a gift for yourself' instead of (very) rich people surprising each other with a Lexus gift. The bows have become a sort of tradition, kinda like a chocolatier such as Godiva. IMO Lexus should keep the December to Remember campaign, it's worked very well for them in the past, but they can re-theme the ads to different variations.

The bows are back for Lexus December to Remember, but the theme is the memories you'll make through the ownership period of the vehicle...

They are family-focused, friendly ads...it ties in to the Lexus 'make the most of every moment' brand philosophy.

i still prefer the classy lexus commercials. family-oriented and, unlike the bimmer and mb ones where they poke fun at those giant bows, a great experience upon receiving a lovely ride. but the new audi commercials with the "best lights in the neighborhood" is quite unique. the first time i saw that a few weeks back really made me think that their marketing tactic is new, fresh, and original.
