This car is seriously impressive. The Autoblog review sings praises for it. The specs (and especially the MPG) are seriously impressive. I sat in one a few days ago and the exterior is not too bad in real life (it's not flashy or anything, very understated, but I wouldn't call it ugly either... Not really sure a rich exec in this time and age would want a flashy huge saloon anyway...) but the real killer in the A8 is the interior. My god is it gorgeous and the MMI works BEAUTIFULLY. The touch pad is a brilliant idea and that along with the upgraded graphics in the dash cluster screen and the pop up center screen make MMI leaps and bounds better than any other manufacturers' system. And when Google maps and the wireless connectivity makes its way into the new Audis... game over.

Engineering and interior are great. The car looks like any Audi sedan the last 30 years. I've seen them on the road and the LED lights look crazy, the giant grill ridiculous and then the rest is so bland it makes a 1989 LS look sexy.

No imagination outside of LED lights. Jag XF please. I was expecting so much more

It's 17 city, and 27 highway. The 21 is the combined number. Still good though.

the B&O system sounds like its going to be killer. 19 speakers with 1400 watts!

engine seems a little low on torque

beautiful mmi system, now only paralleled by bmw

Jag XJ right?

Normally I would say the same except.. man the control system in the Jag is just SO slow and SO outdated, especially in comparison to the slick MMI. It's almost a deal breaker for me quite frankly. The Jag looks so much better but the interior is where you spend most of your time and if the experience there lacks, especially in a 90k saloon...

I drove this car today. The car itself is superb, but it is dying for a better engine. The acceleration is worse than the LS460, and it is completely eclipsed by the 750i and Jag XJ.
