I doubt you will see a W12 engine in the 1st year or ever. Audi has been on this trend where they make smaller engine with some kind of forced induction. I would expect the W12 to be replace by a smaller engine with either a turbo or a supercharger.

It looks like these will be the engine choices:
"The aforementioned four-cylinder engine will output around 230 horsepower. Filling out the rest of the engine range will be a 250 horsepower 3.0-liter V-6 TDI, a 290 horsepower 3.0-liter V-6 FSI, a 340 horsepower 4.2-liter V-8 TDI, a 372 horsepower 4.2-liter V-8 FSI and finally a 620 horsepower 5.0-liter V-10 FSI reserved for the S8. A 12-cylinder engine is also expected to be offered but it could be phased out due to low demand and the all-important emissions regulations."

Do yall think the American public is more apt to buy the A8 this time around? We have seen Audi sell better, market better and bring better products.
Can Audi actually sell these things here? Sadly such a superb vehicle is not on peoples radar.
When does the new XJ arrive too?
Really looking forward to this!

good question mike. for the a4 and a5, those are younger and probably more impulse buyers, and the cool factor on the audi make them more sellable and we definitely see the cars being received well.
but a8 owners they are probably older and more conscious buyers, i think with the grow in audi they will get more buyers this time, but i am a bit skeptical about significant jump

Ive gotten the chance to see it already. Very stunning even with the plastic grill they threw on there in attempt to conceal it. I came across a lot of the testers. Ive asked the many of the different test drivers if it was the new A8....they just laugh, nod and say that theyre "tire testers". I one time asked one of them what kind of car it is just to try to get him to talk....he tried convincing me that it was a Mitsubishi...lol.

I would not be surprised if the exterior more or less looks like a bigger A6, I really hope they don't go for some dumb fast back "sporty look" like many are doing with sedans these days.
