Default Socal Car and Coffee 11/21/2009 -- The New Visitor (56k Warning)

Saw this:

more to come...

car and coffee meet here in socal is pretty famous, a lot of car enthusiasts know about it. today was the first time i attended and there was a pleasant surprise i missed the CA speedway event last week so i was happy to finally see and hear the lfa in person. i will just say, the engine sounds amazing

i am not exaggerating when i say the lfa took the whole spotlight. as soon as it arrived (i was one of the first few people to arrived at the venue at freaking 5:30am...), it was constantly rounded by people until it left at 8:45am. i was surprised how many people didn't really know about the car (or a supercar from lexus). heard a lot of "interesting" discussions, but i will leave them out of this thread coz' i don't want to see another debate of what car is better. in anyway, here go the pics

intentionally darken the picture to showcase the taillights / 3rd brake light

Dang, who are the fellas in the Maybach?

LFA looks sweet, getting all that attention. I see Lexus did the right thing with the limited production. Look at all the ferraris there and only one LFA. The rarity will draw crowds, opinions and discussion every where it goes!

The great thing about the Cars and Coffee meet is that the Lexus LFA's future owners go to this meet all the time.

I think it got the attention of its target market...

Cool

Very nice photos of the LFA. I was much farther from Irvine today, so I didn't think of waking up extra early for C&C.

For some so-so video footage, check YouTube - some of the spectators' comments are quite amusing. If anyone wants to hear a non-distorted LFA engine note, there's also the Yamaha site which has a decent quality clip of that.
