I couldn't agree more, but I still think that Koenigsegg needs to make an entrance into the (relatively) affordable car scene, regardless.

By affordable, I hope you mean like a $250000 car, because most of these specialty car companies don’t know how to make a $30000 car.

Good point but it lacked the quirkiness of a Saab - the Night Panel, the aircraft-inspired maplights, the ignition in the centre. An Impreza doesn't have a level of luxury a Saab can provide. It's like outfitting a Prius with leather. That doesn't make it a luxury car.

With today's push-button ignition systems, Saab doesn't HAVE to put the ignition down on the console with the shift lever any more. That was done, far the most part, as a safety measure, to keep the column/dash ignition key from gouging you if the front-seat occupants you were tossed forward (or sideways) in a crash. With flat-surface push- buttons, that is no longer necessary.

Wonderful because if that's one of the few notable features of a Saab, it's archaic, outdated, gimmicky and nothing to do with safety today with proper airbags (including knee air bags) and retention systems.
Who cares, it's the least of their problems.

Almost. We don't know if it was designed as a Lexus or a Toyota.
What about on the steering wheel? The LF-A has a key and a push button start. Twist the key to ON and press the button on the steering wheel.
