Right before I had to leave the house I was listening to the Texas representative and he describes exactly what this is, a conflict of interest and something that has been misguided as well as overblown(rumors and false news being reported).

Toyota will get a chance to have their say, otherwise it would be a complete joke. I don't think it will matter, as they will probably get grilled and punished regardless.

This Dr. Gilbert is an automotive expert technically, but not exactly realistically. He has no actual engineering or electrical expertise in terms of qualifications. Much of what he claims to be an expert on he self-taught and learned on his own.

This is also the so-called "expert" who tampered with the Toyota in the recent ABC video.

Look closely at the degrees and qualifications Flip posted. He has NO actual engineering or electrical qualifications.

He is an expert in teaching electrical diagnostics, not necessarily with building them or working with them.

What is incredible is Toyota stated many times in the past they don't want to see American car companies fail and they raised prices to make American cars look more attractive. They were well aware back then of anti Toyota/Japanese backlash.

I wasn't old enough to really remember audis issue but today seeing this bullcrap right before my eyes just is sad and sickening.

I there were dozens or hundreds of deaths and accidents I would understand. 34 in 5 million? That us just odds.

And the media CONTINUES to merge the floormats and sudden acceleration.

Everyone took sides before the hearings even began. The outcome of these hearings has already been pre-determined .

He's another typical biased Washington politician........one who believes that corporations are guilty until proven innocent.

As I've stated several times before, the govt, the UAW, and the media are all playing with fire grilling Toyota so badly. Toyota could potentially reduce their investment in the US, and in place of that increase their Canadian investment.

In that case,Toyota should counter with some super educated engineer specializing in auto computer systems.

Mr. Barton is asking some very good questions to Dr. Gilbert. Gilbert seems to be struggling in answering them.

Cannot say I agree, Toyota is not going to win here. You’re not going to beat the government unfortunately.

Mr stupak does not no anything! putting the car in Reverse will not ruin the transmission because the car thinks you made a mistake in putting it in reverse and will not tell the transmission to shift! what an idiot.
