So what. The cars aren't perfect. My dad has the 3.5 and has never had any engine problems whatsoever.
Did you hear about the recent Honda recall regarding flying airbag shrapnel?
I drive a Honda.

I don't know if this is a serious post or from the media. Did u miss the Honda recall today? What about their fragile exploding trannies they still never took full accoutability for?
You do realize the sludge issue was a VOLUNTARY RECALL and IMO was due to people not changing their oils as recommended.
All brands have recalls. Toyota was slow move b/c they are what 3 times the size of Honda.
The constant attacks r getting tiring. so here is mine;
I'd rather catch the Ebola virus than be over 18 driving a Honduh. Exceptions r the NSX, ITR, S2000, first 2 Gens of the Legend.

ALL CARMAKERS HAVE PROBLEMS!!
Honda has been very honorable not attacking Toyota like "some other brands". They know recalls are part of the business.
These conspiracy theories would make Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts proud.
And even WITH all these issues I would STILL RECOMMEND a Honda or Toyota as I still feel they are better than most.
let me go drive one of my sludge filled sudden acceleration floormat death traps now

I can't recommend Honda anymore due to transmission issues. Ditto with BMW/VW with ZF trannies(the French-made GM Hydra-Matic in the 3, I6 5 Series and the X family is fine) and Mopars.

Long story short, I filed a complaint about a Toyota dealership not responding back over some previous work they performed on my Lexus. Toyota Corp looked into it and told me to contact Toyota Corp again if the dealership doesn't contact me within 5 business days or something...dealership never contacted me and it's 8 business days since. So I contacted Toyota Corp again.
And now Toyota Corp hasn't responded back to me since last Friday.
I really think the whole recall issue is way blown out of proportion. And I understand Toyota Corp is busy now because of it. But I'm getting really fed up with this and quite frankly, I think it's insulting. More customer service, yep, I sure hope so!!

Let's see .... OP has a grand total of two posts to his name. So he goes through the effort of signing up here just to tell everyone that Toyota is bad news. He needs to leave his mama's basement and go out into the sunshine for a change. He probably doesn't even own a Toyota product, nor a Honda for that matter.

At least the Camry and the RX350 have a coating sprayed on the internal passageways of the A/C evaporator coil that emits a fine white dust that deposits on the dash. Many people with respiratory problems had to stop using their vehicles because they couldn’t breath. Again, Toyota is denying any problem exists, and when cornered with the white dust, will not give any scientific analysis. These safety and reliability concerns are well documented; you need not take my word on the subject. I currently own a Sienna and a RX350. This is how I know these facts. I drive a Honda.
I really think the whole recall issue is way blown out of proportion. And I understand Toyota Corp is busy now because of it. But I'm getting really fed up with this and quite frankly, I think it's insulting. More customer service, yep, I sure hope so!!

Which I completely understand so I'm patiently waiting. And I know I'm low priority but when my engine seals and gaskets are at stake and I spent close to 2k to fix it and failing again only a year later, it kinda makes it important . I haven't driven my Lexus for probably 3-4 weeks since I filed a complaint unless I absolutely have to but I'll wait for Toyota
