Made a deal with my father...

Three things, Henry. First, he mentioned that he sold it at a "good" price......and, by that, one has to assume that it was below standard KBB Blue Book/Private-Party-Value for that vehicle's age/condition/mileage. So, the reliability risk is then negated by a lower, perhaps bargin price. Second, the fact that he had a number of parts replaced and repairs done, of course, lessens the chances that those same repairs (and parts) will have repeat failures and have to be dealt with again by a new owner. Third, it is generally no secret, especially if one reads forums, magazines, and Consumer Reports, that Audi's in general, have worse-than-average reliability (though A4s seem to be improving), so you purchase an Audi with a grain of salt anyway.

My friend purchased the car with the intention of heavily modifying it and putting it on a track where reliability isn't an issue. I sold it to him at the Canadian Black Book's trade-in value. He is one of the co-owners of the ICAR track in the West Island, in Montreal.

I will be shipping the car down to FL for the winter, and I plan on driving it back up to QC when the summer rolls around.

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't but at the end of the day it's the same car I had before and it will most likely have some of the pesky problems I had with the V8 version, as it is essentially the same car.
It is set to arrive in May of 2011. If all goes as planned.
Huh?
Huh?
