YTD, Camry sales are 421k to the Accord 361k. The crosstour crap sold 435 units. Sales goals are 40k a year.

Next year the Camry will be sedan only (Solara is dead), the Accord sales will include the coupe and crosstour.

November was a pretty flat month for domestic automakers, while international brands like Hyundai, Subaru and Nissan saw somewhat impressive gains – the three reported gains of 46 percent, 24 percent and 21 percent respectively.

Ford and General Motors remained fairly flat while Chrysler saw a huge decline of 25 percent. The Auburn Hills company is now down 38 percent year-to-date.

I've read some people clearly not checking facts trying to say the M35/45 has always outsold the GS but they are completely wrong.

We know the GS has outsold in the 1990s as it was discontinued. The 3GS and M35/45 debuted the same month of February back in 2005. The GS outsold the M 35/45 in 05/06/07/08 .For 2009, the M finally will outsell the GS but both are now selling poorly,

2005
GS- 33,457
M35/45-24,000
2006
GS-27,390
M35/45-25,658
2007
GS-23,381
M35/45-21,884
2008
GS- 15,759
M35/45- 15,618
2009
M 35/45-7,693
GS 6,377

The car will finally outsell the GS this year, which is a good feat but both are selling horridly. The GS never got any good lease rates, I'm actually shocked at how well its sold in retrospect to the M, which had and still has smoking lease deals since day one.

BMW brand sales up 3.2% in November; X5 Advanced Diesel accounted for 25% of all X5 sales

Woodcliff Lake, NJ – December 1, 2009... The BMW Group in the U.S. (BMW and MINI combined) reported November sales of 18,272 vehicles, a decrease of 7.5 percent from the 19,762 vehicles sold in the same month of 2008. The BMW Group also reported a year-to-date sales volume of 218,110 vehicles, down 22.5 percent compared to 281,564 vehicles sold in the first 11 months of last year.

BMW Brand Sales
Sales of BMW brand vehicles increased 3.2 percent in November for a total of 15,708 vehicles compared to 15,217 vehicles reported in the same month a year ago. Year-to-date, BMW brand sales were down 23.7 percent to 176,374 vehicles compared to 231,053 vehicles sold in the same period of 2008.

“November gave us some reason for optimism as it’s the second time in the last three months we showed a gain compared to the same month last year,” said Jim O’Donnell, President of BMW of North America, LLC. “Overall, we believe that the premium segment is on its way back even though in the early part of 2010, it will be a bit bumpy and uneven. Our cause will be aided with the introduction of more new BMW models next year and just as we saw last month, continued solid performances from our X5 and X5 Advanced Diesel vehicles.”

The BMW X5 Advanced Diesel is the most forward ordered vehicle of BMW’s model range and accounted for one quarter of all X5 sales in November.

BMW Certified Pre-Owned (CPO)
In November, sales of BMW’s Certified Pre-Owned vehicles increased 7.9 percent to 8,307 CPO vehicles versus 7,700 vehicles reported a year ago. Year-to-date, CPO sales were up 11.3 percent to 103,289 over the 92,781 reported in the same period of 2008.

MINI Brand Sales
MINI USA reported sales of 2,564 automobiles, a decrease of 43.6 percent compared to 4,545 cars reported in the same month a year ago. Year-to-date, MINI USA also reported sales of 41,736 automobiles, a decrease of 17.4 percent, compared to the 50,511 cars reported in the first 11 months of 2008.

“November was a peculiar month as we saw fewer consumers shopping for small, fuel efficient vehicles,” said Jim McDowell, Vice President MINI USA. “However, we know we have the right kind of vehicles for the future and remain committed to expanding our dealer network and getting ready for three new MINI models in the near future.”

Wow, Toyota is really making everyone else look pathetic in the sales dept.

It's not even close anymore.

And Camry is in it's 4th year.

The refresh is really helping the Camry IMO. The new one may look like a giant Corolla, but it works out really well Still not a huge fan of the interior though.

Thanks for the summary RX

Japan sales numbers YTD, November 2009:

MB 25,387
BMW 24,870
Lexus 23,868

Lexus sales are up 121% on account of the HS 250h and hybrid sales, good to see them being more competitive in the world's 3rd largest automotive market!

Also Lexus Europe points to an interesting statistic that is perhaps being discussed internally in Lexus corporate:
