yeah but the guy was there and took a picture, it is not some random picture from the internet ;-).

But I find it sloppy that the Benz dealership allows the car to sit like that.

OP, Was the door closed? Did you try opening it and closing it? That would answer a lot of questions here.
Dashocker, I actually can't remember the last time I came across a late model coupe of any make/model that DIDN'T do this with frameless windows.

As you can see from the picture, the window is not lower, it is pop out or tilted out.

ah, brain fart, i was looking it differently, not you mention about popping out i can see. in that case, could it be the window is in the "up" position and then the battery disconnected? in that case, the window doesn't go down when the door is open so when forcing the door to close it might create something as pictured

sounds pretty "normal" to me if the battery is disconnected

You implied you believed the feature was mostly exclusive to German coupes:

I opened and closed the door a few times and the window did the same thing each time, it would lower as you opened the door then as you shut it, the window would attempt to go back up, and towards the front of the window it would seat properly but towards the back it would come outward a 1/2 inch... the car battery had to be attached because my friend got into the drivers side and was playing with the navi and stereo...
