Stopped by the local MB dealer and this was a brand new E class in their showroom, look at the gap between the window! Now the window was still working, it would go up and down as you would open the door. It would just leave a ½ inch gap. Lol

actually im sure it has to be reprogrammed. All they have to do is roll the window down using the auto function and roll it back up using the auto function and it will go all the way up.

it's the rear window (the window on the left) that's not rolled up, the front's up normal, the rear is not up to max, and since it's pillarless, it looked weird in the picture and thinks the front window have problem.

for some reason, MB has a resetting sequence for their windows and moonroof. When the battery is disconnected for some time, or etc, they need to be reset. In the mean time, when someone rolls up the window, it will go back down about an inch. This may have to do with the safety mechanism that their cars have, where if it senses an object in the way, it will re open the window

The picture shows this is a new E class Coupe which as a display model.. well who knows how it has been abused and mistreated. I spent time with one this afternoon and the (frame-less) door glass moves out of the way when the door is opened - just the same as happens on BMW coupes as well. Looked pretty similar to the picture I see here.
