Agreed, but just in case you didn't know, DRL's are not standard on all new cars in the US currently.

DRL's is a separate topic and a separate thread because in the US it's still up in the air.

hahaa i never regret about my black cars, i love them. but then again i am pro detailers and i never let swirls really take over my cars

however i know so many people with black cars complaining to me how bad they look over time. and yeah, they are right

I've heard birds like silver cars more, if you know what I mean.

This has proven true so far with my car, which is, unfortunately, silver.

They are standard in Canada, per Motor Vehicle Standard 108, and, though not Federally mandated (yet ) here in the U.S., are pretty much standard on all new cars anyway. Few U.S.-market vehicles still lack them.

I agree that DRLs are a separate topic to some extent, but also tie in with the current disscusion about automotive colors....and the poor visibility associated with silver/gray cars on asphalt roads and gray skies, which you and I both have agreed can be a problem.

.
Short answer, they are not mandatory in the US and they are not standard on all cars in the US, just keeping it factual here (refer to your post #41 earlier)

Silver certainly has had a very long run at or near the top of the chart (meaning over a decade), I hope to see the day when that changes.

No wonder year after year, Lexus uses silver cars for their "December to Remember" holiday TV ads. Silver is the bomb !!
