I keep forgetting I am in a Lexus forum, from where I am sitting, it looks like a *** whipping to me Not even close. Then again, they are comparing the LS with the ultimate driving machine. I am sure the LS top the 7 series in many areas, but performance is not one of them.

How do you know for sure they're lighter? Forged alloy wheels are stronger and usually lighter than comparable cast alloy wheels due to being able to use thinner spoke designs, but not usually lighter than cast alloy wheels of smaller sizes. But since Lexus does not publish the weights of the wheels, we can only speculate.

And btw, Lexus in some cases does publish wheel weights, see attached. Not always necessary to speculate. That's all I need to know for sure.

But at the country club down the street where this kind of car is abundant, the differences won't mean much. As usual the BMW will be the sportier one and the Lexus more luxury-oriented. No news to most of us.

did they test the 7 with the M sport package? As good as the LS sport probably is compared to the regular LS, it probably doesnt stack up to the regular 7, let alone one with the M sport package too

Most of us know they are most likely lighter. I've seen the weights before for ISx50 F-Sport 19" forged wheels versus the OEM 18" alloys as published by Lexus dealers.
And btw, Lexus in some cases does publish wheel weights, see attached. Not always necessary to speculate. That's all I need to know for sure.

Db @ 70 mph Cruise: 58.2
vs
Db @ 70 mph cruise: 66.7
is what Lexus is all about... add to it "Remarkable balance and feedback at the limit" comment, and what is there not to like? It is not an BMW style sports limo, but it has its own bragging rights as well as $14k smaller price tag.

LS nice show but please. This review shows that BMW is still the king in this area.
I guess the real question is did Lexus add the sport package for show or to be the king. Did they even compare the car to the 7 series.
