Default Lexus Japan - Always gets the best options/packages

Lexus Japan: IS250 X-Edition

Looks like Japan still keeps the goodies. Remember the Passionate Black interior that was limited for 2009? Well there's an X-Edition (not to be confused with X-Package) IS250 with the same black leather interior, but contrast orange stitching and perforations as opposed to the red that was in Passionate Black but will be available in 6 familiar 2IS colors (Starfire Pearl, Glacier Frost Mica, Tungsten Pearl, Smoky Granite Mica, Obsidian and Matador Red.

I'd love to see those types of options here in N. America!

Amazing.....love the woven wood trim especially. They should at least make these options available for special orders in the US. I can't think of any good reason why they want to keep these options strictly JDM. It's not like these options will require additional certifications or LHD conversions to be exported to the US.

Even if they don't offer the individual options here, they should at least offer some of the L-Select "themes" here for special order. That would be very nice and I think a lot more popular then the Pebble Beach model.

I suspect that these options might be to "outrageous" for your typical conservative North American Lexus customer. Variety would be great, though.

BMW Individual and Mercedes Designo trims options aren't that popular in the US as far as I know, too.
