You guys do know that Top Gear Magazine and the Top Gear website are separate from the show. They have mostly different opinions on each car. Case in point the IS-F: It got 17/20 on the Top Gear Website, yet Clarkson trashed it on the show. I hope they praise it, but I have my doubts since Clarkson seems to bash pretty much everything Toyota makes.

If I recall, he didnt trash it. He just didnt like the styling, gearbox, stiff ride, and the lack of power in low rpms.

He said that it was a good car, but it just wasnt as good as the M3

I am so happy that the LFA is showing the world, like the GTR, that Japan is no joke. They can and will produce truly world class cars.

My guess is they have gone with digital amplifiers...witch MIGHT explain those cracy numbers
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Class_D_Amplifier

In short, for those of you who doesnt want to go through the whole wikipedia article:
Advantages
Despite the complexity involved, a properly designed class-D amplifier offers the following benefits:

Reduction in size and weight of the amplifier,
Reduced power waste as heat dissipation and hence smaller (or no) heatsinks,
Reduction in cost due to smaller heat sink and compact circuitry,
Very high power conversion efficiency, usually ≥ 90%.

^^ Yep. Most powered subwoofers are using class D digital switching amp. That's how there able to get 3,000+ watts from an amp the size of an alarm clock.

Dave, not in the magazine. The review was done by someone else and it was at the "Ring". The episode where the STIG drives it and we find out its "wet lap" time will debut January 3rd.

This is not entirely accurate. Top Gear magazine has editorials from the same big 3, May, Hammond, Clarkson. They also reviews cars in the mag as well and Clarkson has his extra 2 cents on some cars sold in the back with the "new car guide" every issue.

As for the IS-F, they loved it. In the review vs the C63, M3, RS4, the reviewer said it was a tie but if he HAD to take ONLY ONE home, it would be the IS-F. Pretty amazing praise for a Lexus on Top Gear. They loved their long term IS-F secondly.

17/20 is a HUGE score, most score under 13/14 or so every month. Its rare to see cars above that mark.

Yes, the two are different but they are also very related.

On BBC America, or is there another place to see it? I ask because I've tried to find the newest eps on BBCA, and it seems like they're always old, even early in the week. I'd love to hear their comments on the LFA - it's quite interesting.

What they REALLY need is hardcore versions of the future 4GS and 3SC, i.e. GS-F and SC-F, and of course, an even better 3IS-F, and maybe an additional smaller and lighter dedicated Lexus(affordable) sports model too ......
