Ferrari VS Lamborghini..... who is more "exotic"
#17
Not sure why you guys are hating... Thats my opinion which is what this thread is about and i'm sticking to it .... I don't know much about them other than how pretty and sure exotic they are but I'd definitely pick reliability over than just good looks.

This is tough as I am a Lambo guy. The Coutach is considered maybe the first "exotic". The scissor doors are so "exotic". The thing is Lambo has only produces a handful of vehicles over the past 30 years in comparison to Ferrari.
When I think Ferrari exotic, I think F40, F50, Enzo...Testerossa, 355, 360, 430, now 458..the GTs are well GTs but even the 599 is exotic like with its flying buttress. The special editions as well. 250 GTO is one of the most highly desired cars of all time.
I grew up loving Lambo, not Ferrari. As I've gotten older I still love Lambo (I find the Murchialago pre facelift PERFECT) but Ferrari has hit after hit after hit and MORE exotic product.
My vote goes to Ferrari

i say Ferrari in the old days were more exotic to me. but as the years went by Ferrari has lost their touch. Ive been liking Lamborghini a LOT more now recently. so my vote goes to Lamborghini
Old exotics = Ferrari
New Exotics = Lamborghini
Old exotics = Ferrari

I would agree. Once the Countach came along Ferrari lost its 'exotic" crown. Even the word Countach means incredible

From the first day Ferruccio Lamborghini decided to establish his own sports car factory, the only idea in his
mind was: knock down Ferrari ! Within 3 years, he did that with Miura, a mid-engined V12 supercar with beautiful look and incomparable speed.
Having fulfilled the original goal, his next dream was to create an all-time greatest supercar. That car should be
unbounded by any existing rules, should be so outstanding that no word could describe its excellence. Therefore he named this car "Countach", an Italian word simply meaning "Wow ! Look at this !".
Miura, the fastest car in the world then, could run up to 172 mph. Countach, on the other hand, aimed at 200 mph. Yes, it was TWO HUNDRED MPH. Besides, it should have an appearance that could stun everybody. Having these 2 basic goals in his mind, Ferruccio Lamborghini ordered his engineering team to start the project.

Looking back I didn't really know what an exotic car truely was until the Countach. Now when someone says exotic the lambo is the absolute first car that comes to mind.

Both have cars that are simply supercars and both have higher end models that could qualify as exotic.
430 vs 599 GTB. Gallardo vs 670SV.
But the brands themselves are barely exotic now that we have the likes of Bugatti, Koenessigseisegisigisgisigigig, Spyker, and Pagani.
But yeah in the end I would argue it's not so much about brands anymore as it is the individual car itself. GTR and the LFA for example, are taking this even further.
Mercedes has the C class and then at the top end, their SLS Gullwing.
Etc.
