That was a great story. Hopefully this kid will learn from getting schooled by the cop.

Some kids just press their luck and this kid ran out of it.

It just goes to show you the immaturity level over their, not to pick on anyone but the M3 forum is full of wannabe M3 owners driving debadged 325 and the likes, the real M3 owners who are not chiming in are working long hours at the office, actually paying for their cars.

Back to the cop, if anything it shows you how cool he is, what was it 3 or 4 breaks before he had his buddy pull him over, I mean come on, who goes out and harasses other drivers, what if that was the guys wife, girlfriend or daughter driving the car.

It's just nice to know that their are cops that realize everyone slips up, and they will give you a break, so I say thank you officer in the 335

It wasn't necessarily brand-new.

In addition to all the other obvious mistakes, this kid really made two whoppers. First, he said "**** the cops" to a policeman. That's like stepping into a lion's den. Second, he called the BMW 335 an overpriced piece of ****........something that it is definitely NOT. I've driven both the 335i and the Nissan 350Z.........I'll take a 335i, especially the xi AWD model, over a 350Z any day of the week, even with its exasperating I-Drive and notable electrical electrical problems.

Exactly and even if it was brand new no big deal around here. Senior cops can exceed $100K year income (with overtime pay included) easily enough.

Yep.....and with the difficult and sometimes dangerous jobs that cops have, I'm all for them being able to have nice cars if they want them. But they get their REAL benefits, IMO, when they have the option to retire after only 20 years....with a pension.

I agree, cops, fireman and military have the best pension plans, I am not sure why the teachers get such a good pension plan as well.

Good stuff! The thread title caught my eye because I had a run-in with a 350z this past weekend as well. I wish that cop was around to see what happened.

I was cruising on the carpool lane when the z came into the lane illegally and tailed me. I thought after awhile he would get bored and leave me alone, but he got closer and closer to a point where it became very dangerous. So I tapped on my brakes for him to back off, and he immediately pulled to the left of the lane and attempted to pass me by using the shoulder!!! There was barely enough room there, and there are a lot of scraps and freeway debris, so I braked to let him through so I don't get killed. Then the Z proceeded to exit the carpool lane illegally again and pulled off to an exit.

Those kind of drivers need to be jailed and have their license taken away!

Cops make a majority of their money in overtime, many cases it can nearly double their salary.

The story was epic haha...
