dunno about electrical problems, but i have lots of freinds who have other problems (engine coils, suspension). I have to say I've driven a 2003 v6 golf manual and that thing pulled...god damn. handled nice too, heavier steering than a jap civic and had more luxury inside. I agree they have a lot of little problems tho. oh, and the cool volkswagon blue gauges and the little key fob FTW!! Don't know if I'd every buy one (heard a lot of stories), but cool car on a whole.

i always wanted a last gen Lude. but it will be hard to a nice one for 4k.
