"In what is equivalent to a year-end fire sale" = purge.

I wouldn't expect the Aura to hang around very long either. They are nice cars, but don't have the publicity that the new Malibus, their close cousins, have gotten. Still, with a limited supply now, my guess is they won't hold out very long.

Did see two G8's with the 355 HP 6.0L list at $33K..
The one in Fl I posted above would be perfect for me if I was in the market but I bet that is sold or will be in a day.
Amazing find on the one in FL and the 2 GT's, before I purchased my 09 Maxima I was looking at the G8, but being 6 months ago the Pontiac Dealer where dragging their feet cause even with the slow sales of G8, it was practically the only unique car they had that was selling, being the GT and GXP not that I would not take a V6, but they seem to sell pretty well at the dealers I visited.

It would be really amazing to see GM drop both V8 powertrains into a Chevy, Buick or Cadillac

even at these prices I still wouldn't buy a GM product. I don't care what they claim. They are going away for a good reason. The lower price of the car will not offset having problems that you may have with the car in the future. My time is worth way to much to me.

No doubt, the prices are low for good reasons on these remaining cars.

This means little. When someone goes down to one of these dealers to search, they aren't going to find the model, color, or options they want. For that, they better be getting it for half off. These misleading gimmick sales are for non-car people who want a deal and little else.

I REALLY like the G8 in all versions - they should really re-badge this thing as an Impala or Caprice or SOMETHING!

The Aura G6, G3 are rubbish & should be crushed & used as scrap metal to repair bridges.

Why would any sane person purchase something built by the UAW ?? Crush the cars and the union !! GM was crazy to give in to the union goons who demanded more money than teachers and police officers. They are unskilled labor, always have been, always will be !!

Cops and tenured teachers earn more in my area but $62K per is a lot for unskilled workers..

The demise of Pontiac and Saturn go beyond just the UAW contribution of nails in the coffin. Poor management, a product portfolio of mostly poor-fair products, excessive number of dealerships with poor average revenue and unit sales per dealership, poor brand image, mediocre quality and reliability are just some of the other contributing factors. Fire-sales to purge remaining inventory quickly makes sense.

I agree, everyone in GM shares a part in its demise, UAW workers, CEO, Engineers, Quality control, designers, Stock holder and marketing. Its the America way, lets all make a quick dollar, who cares about the future.
