you think it looks too much like the cl? umm, never felt that way. the cl feels more bulky. and i guess with the huge size difference people can distinguish them more in person

you like the new headlights? hehe, i guess that's why i still haven't warmed up to the new sl headlights

The CL is of course more bulky but I think it's much harder to tell them apart at a distant , when it is mostly the general shape and the grill that you can see clearly , much like the previous gen. S and C class look too much alike . your wife said it's difficult to tell them apart unless they are near right?

I like the CL facelift mainly because the Tyra Banks forehead look of the front end is gone, and I don't really mind the new headlights either

though training has changed all that since

Worthless! The whole C class is for posers who want their friends to think they have a Mercedes while paying Toyota prices. In Europe, the C class is a taxi, and not a very good one at that. Here, it is a POS that detracts from the Mercedes name. My E class had a lower resale because of the C class and ended my desire to ever have a Mercedes.

This car is going to sell so much its not even funny. Amazing how this class has grown in ten years.
It was just the 3 series and Acura CL. Acura CL flopped. 3 series dominated. G35 coupe came and sold well. Audi A5/S5 came. CTS coupe is here.
Lexus where is the IS coupe?

Well, it seems the Europeans(& probably most Asians) don't mind, but every time I visit Hong Kong, I always see at least half a dozen black S-class sedans waiting outside the airport terminal, waiting to be hired as airport limos, which is really just a higher priced taxi, and my desire for the S-class as a "prestige" car fall a couple of notches immediately, even though they are very nice cars ......
But rich people in Hong Kong still buy them in bunches, you see S-class sedans EVERYWHERE there, the last time I heard, which is a few years ago, they have 49% of the market in it's class.
I was in London last August, and asked the front desk @ my hotel to call a cab(i.e. any cab, without specifying) for us, and when it came, it was a BMW 7-series, I was pleasantly surprised of course
