Default Mercedes C-Class Coupe (unvealed)

looks just like the E-Class coupe

http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2...-1-series.html

Mercedes will bring to market a C-Class Coupe to compete directly with cars like the BMW 1 Series and grab important entry-level customers. Earlier this year the luxury automaker released the E-Class Coupe and now this C-Class coupe is expected later this year as a 2011 model.

Above is the first image of the upcoming 2011 C-Class Coupe, looking slightly stubbier than the E. And with no B-pillar to speak of, it not only looks sleek, but gives an obvious hint that a C-Class convertible is also in the works.

Power will reportedly come from a direct-injection version of the company’s 3.5-liter V6, as well as a smaller displacement engine with twin-turbos. Expect that motor to make roughly 300-hp.

In addition, an AMG version could potentially follow in 2012, using AMG’s planned twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine.

From above pic (if accurate), looks much better than the sedan version already, the sedan version does not look good at all except the front end ...

Nicely done, IMO this will improve C-class sales incrementally.

They could have made the picture more believable if they included changes that we know the 2011 C will get, a small facelift including LED daytime lights, different hood and headlights.

This looks like a photoshop. A good one, too.

Doubt it's a photoshop. Nice to see that a C class coupe is coming out, this will definitely help their sales and it doesn't look half bad either from that pic.

you know it is a photochop because the side mirrors are the same ones on the 08-09 model. the 2010 model has smaller ones with a different side blinker design.

I'm glad if they do bring back the C Class Coupe or CLK. I really liked the CLK and was sad to see it go. The E Class Coupe idea hasn't really grown on me yet.

well done, unlike the CTS 2 door. The 4 door is one of my wifes favorites. I cant wait to see one of these things worked at SEMA

That isnt' the car at all. The test car surfaced a year and a half ago at Autoblog and it looked more like a hatchback. Today's story is actually old news.

Pic looks nice, Photoshop or not. Technically, the CLK was an evolution of the original E coupe, but the marketing guys must have relented for this generation.

C coupe definitely would appeal to me, as long as it doesn't have a budget interior and a weird rear end. If it's priced and equipped similarly to the C sedan, it should be good.

I wonder if they will make a c65 blk series for the coupe.

Look at the slight fuzziness / blur at the rear-end of the trunk. That's not an effect a camera usually produces, but probably a 1-pixel feathering setting in photoshop.

Also, if this was an official photo we'd be seeing the European model first - which means those US-spec orange reflector lamps have no place on the car. And as already mentioned, the mirrors are from the pre-facelift model.

Nice, but the original 1997-98 C-Class coupe (CLK), IMO, was a REAL looker. Both it and the original Volvo C70, introduced the same year, were stunning. None of the versions since have been as nice, IMO.
