I am amazed that it was in the corners and under braking that the Ducattii couldnt keep with the GTR. The straight aways were one thing but the fact that the GTR would pull on the bike thought the S turns.

Anyone who races bikes already knows this. Check out fast lap time at any course where bikes and cars run. Cars kill bikes universally, and it doesn't take a particularly special car to outrun a bike (any bike) on a closed course. Formula Fords will drive away from the fastest Superbikes simply because they turn and brake so much better.

It's expected. The GT-R handles in superior ways. That's why it can post the best lap times in closed courses even though it's overweight and (in some ways) underpowered compared to super exotics.

The 1098, albeit a beast, is no match in a closed course.

I know nothing about motorcycles. I had a mother who told me if I got on a motorcycle she would take my life before the bike did.. I was under the impression that the Ducatti would destroy the GTR and that the point of the video would be that the GTR could keep up, let alone to pull on the bike through the corners?

My friend used to race street bikes against cars all the time. He said the only thing that prevented him from going 100% was self-preservation...

no airbags, no impact absorbing anything... just pure pain

No surprise here. The car has one major advantage - four very large contact patches where the rubber meets the road. Compared to the bikes two tiny ones.

I am a little surprised the bike didn't pull on the car a little more down the straights. Thats usually the advantage for the bike: power to weight ratio. It's a testament to how quick modern supercars have become, especially with AWD.

Not sure I'd want any car that close behind me on a track though. Bail off the bike, and you get run over by a ton and a half of Nissan. Not my idea of fun.

I'd still pick the Duc over the GTR any day. Now matter how impressive the car is, there's nothing like being on two wheels!

I am quickly learning that Autocar does great reviews of cars. Cool source for the car freaks. Its nice to watch a video instead of reading articles all of the time. Its one thing to have t described to you as opposed to seeing the vehicles in action

Like others have said, cars have more grip in the corners and will track quicker.

In my opinion, you need a lot more skill to ride a motorcycle fast than a car fast.

I've raced bikes at a few tracks and driven cars at a few. They're different. I don't think riding a bike is harder or easier, they're equally engaging and unforgiving of ham-fisted maneuvers.
