Default Great experience buying an extended warranty

Hey guys I just wanted to share with you the great experience that I had buying my extended warranty through Troy Dietrich FD Warranty / Toyota of Greenfield. They are a great choice for extended warranties on many different brands of cars.

I read a thread in the 3GS forum about a member who had a great experience with them as well, so I sent him an e-mail asking questions about the warranty. He was very happy with the service and price that he got. I contacted Troy and he told me that they had a 75k, 100k ,and even a new 125k warranty available for my GS350 that is directly through Lexus. I was blown away by the pricing and wanted to go for it. Troy even emailed me with a link directly to Lexus financial services with the descriptions of the warranties and what they cover.

Once you decide on the plan that you want you have to send him a copy of your registration( they need the VIN) and a letter stating the mileage of your car. He then calls you for final decision and payment for the plan. It took about a week and I got my Vehicle service agreement application through Lexus and copies of my receipts. ( the paper work has all of the contact info for Lexus/Toyota Financial services and the extra care program. Within a 2 week period I will receive the full vehicle service contract from Lexus. The agreement is already active in the system but I will get the paper work soon.

All in all my experience with them has been great. They are very professional and I would recommend them to anyone looking for an extended warranty on any car thats about to lose its original factory warranty. In the end I went for the max coverage and got the 8 yr / 125k warranty for about $2800.

Are you satisfied with the number of components on the vehicle it covers? Read that list carefully. It is possible for a plan to be extremely customer-friendly up front, in the sales department, and yet not cover much. And, of course, most plans don't cover common wear-items like brake pads, rotors, shocks, tires, timing/drive belts, light-bulbs, wiper bades, etc....

But, on the surface, at least, you don't seem to be dealing with any hassles up front.

I've heard of him thru priuschat....he's a great guy...

FYI -- the 7/100K platinum warranty for the Prius was $1065.

I did look at the covered components and I was very satisfied by what the plan covers. Its a real deal Lexus warranty so I guess its as good as it gets or damn close. I have read some nightmare stuff with companies like Fidelis and other random warranty companies. I wanted a deal, but a deal on Lexus vehicle service agreement only.
