Ford really gets it. They realize they have to pump out hit after hit, home run after home run. I really like the 5 door.

I'm really diggin on the sedan. Reminds me of a baby Maxima in a way and that's OK. I love that car too.

Ford is a company reborn and on a mission. I love what they are doing right now.

The new Focus is exactly the direction that Ford needs to continue to take to do well, good for them.

Good Job Ford!
This one looks real nice, the interior is definitely looking right.
If only they could sell a limited quantity of their RS here in the US.

I'd say it's so-so. The back end looks like they cheaped out of a trunk. Give the car some azz! Also looks soft, in a Passat CC sort of way. But the front is stylish and modern. It truly does make the current Focus look like a child's model toy.
What is displayed here is what Ford should have done three years ago.

How could expect a compact like this 3 years ago?? Even when it comes out this fall, nothing else in the class will be able to touch it.

And the trunk/rear overhang is just as big/long as any other compact sedan. It would look ridiculous if it was any longer.

It should have been out three years ago. Instead Ford fed us a rehashed Focus that was already overdue and long in the tooth. The styling of this car is three years late. It should have beat out the Civic's swoopy styling a year or two after the Civic debuted. Now the Civic is due for a refresh and has the chance to one-up this new Focus. In other words, Ford is/was behind with this car. I'd say it will probably be "thee thing" for a model year or two, but others will catch right up or pass it with their next redesigns.

I was referring to the rear deck's angle and height. It slopes down, in the same tone as the Infiniti J30, Chrysler Concord, 1999 Mercury Sable, and other "weak" cars. A sporty design starts off low and tapered in front and builds up to higher points in the rear. This is to give the impression of supreme airflow like how a rocket, aricraft, or missile is shaped (all for speed). The IS is a perfect example.

The new Focus is full of win. I would certainly buy one (sedan), in top trim...hopefully they make the top trim available with a manual just like in Europe. This will be the best car in its class by a mile.
