From a busted Xterra to a new Murano-Success story
You all might remember this thread...https://www.clublexus.com/forums/car...cs-inside.html
We moved on from the Xterra and bought an 06 Nissan Murano with all the bells and whistles. This thing is very clean and it must have had some old lady driving it becuase you really can't even tell anyone sat in the seats. We are very pleased! USAA insurance was awesome throughout the whole process.

Congragulations on your purchase. But a word of caution....don't expect the Murano to have the same mountain-goat capabilities off-road as your XTerra did. The XTerra has an extremely rugged, ladder-frame, truck-based chassis for durability; the Murano is unibody and car-based. Of course, that's not a factor if you don't go off-road (most SUV owners today don't), and you will probably appreciate the Murano's more civilized ride/handling in everyday driving.

Pirate400, congrats on the new Murano. I must admit, I hated the Murano when it first came out and I swear I would never buy one, but the re-design one doesnt look too bad. It has actually change my view of the car. Let us know how the drive and quality is

As of now, my wife and I are really loving the Murano. I'm still a RWD Power guy but I'm saving money to buy that car. We are making due on one car now and we wanted the Murano for future(soon) kids. The ride is very nice and smooth as well as the power. I really like these Nissan 3.5 V6 engines. Steering also feels decently tight for a crossover.
In regards to looks, its not my favorite drop dead sexy SUV but I think it looks very nice especially with the black paint and chrome wheels. Some colors of the Murano I'm just not a fan of.
Thank you all for the well wishes. Being young and having jsut bought a house, I was hoping this car incindent would turn out to be a nightmare and put me in a huge whole. The Murano has been a great blessing. So far so good!
