Its FWD and not related to the CTS but on the new Vega FWD architecture. It is debuting with a hybrid powertrain.

however, it does feature an all-wheel drive setup. Added handling and agility are provided thanks to 20-inch wheels, and GM’s Magnetic Ride Control (MRC) shocks that measure the road every millisecond and adjust just as fast
AWD + LS9 + MRC = Killer V series car.

Liking the interior but the exterior is just to plain.. Where are the nice body lines like on the CTS-V coupe

The XTS will more than likely get a "Platinum" edition, not a V version.

I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I just don't see how any of you could like that interior. It looks like a melting CTS dash with door panels taken from the scrap heap at the Buick design studio.

Very sad overall, IMO. CTS is so much more elegant and upscale looking.

Northstar? Are you joking?

Anywho, 350 HP makes this vehicle competitive. But I think those of you who are rebuking this vehicle because it doesnt have the most HP in its class are forgetting something. It's old people who drive these enormous Caddys. They don't care about having the most power or doing RWD burnouts. Furthermore, it is a changed world. People want efficient luxury vehicles. Gas isn't cheap anymore. Green = the new bling.

i dont think someone who buys this car is going to care about the gas or its efficiency. Lets be honest...what 7/LS/S/A8 buyer actually cares what "fuel economy and gas mileage" the car brings.

These cars have been about prestige, class, and premium comfort. The fact that it also ascertains a plug-in is just the automakers way of differentiating and adding a plus point to the vehicle and eliciting technological progress. The customer could care less about this though.

This vehicle is just like any other manufacturers flagship car. I.e a "bigger 3 series...a bigger A4, and a bigger CTS" It looks equisite although some of it is dervied from Buicks but every one borrows cues from one another.

Different strokes for different folks

I'm still a bit old school when it comes to luxury cars. I want wood and lots of it and this interior delivers it. The center stack is decent from this angle and whether or not I really like it will come to the interface. Only thing I'm not too sold on is the suede.because it can be a pain to care for.

Buick + Prius = GOLD!

Yeah, the 600hL had been a sales failure.
