Seriously, half the fun of owning a pickup (or any rwd vehicle) is how easy it is to get the rear end to step out on you, or just light up the tires when the mood strikes.
Neither of my pickups ('96 Ranger 4.0, '99 Dakota 5.2) had traction or stability control, and I wouldn't have it any other way. My current ride (BMW 323i) does have it, but it just gets turned off every time I start the car.

Only new purchase is a new F-150. Had too many rangers to buy a new one again. Nothing special, just like them a lot. Spending $20k is gonna net me something I haven't had 11 of.
