Yeah, I've seen a jack collapse more than once.

And make sure that you're jack stands are securely in the intended notch as well. I've seen a guy do that before.

Yeah I pay a small mint for my oil changes but its dealership only for me. Jiffy will never ever ever ever touch any car I own neither will I for that matter. I have my dipsy moments from time to time but I try very very hard to keep my car from being victimized by any of those occasions.

A number of buisnesses won't take personal checks any more, even with ID. It's cash, credit, or something sticking out of the front of your jacket imitating a holdup.

Toyota shops can usually do basic or minor service (as long as it is a non-warranty repair) on a Lexus product for less than what a Lexus shop will usually charge. Lexus recognizes and accepts the work of Toyota shops, up to an extent.....many of the same parts and filters are used.

I agree....stay away from Jiffylube, unless you have an old beater that you don't care if they screw up on.

Yes, there were some good lines thrown in, but I'm glad that Toyota shops aren't a joke.......they can often service a Lexus product for a reduced price.

And that media Jiffy-Lube video catching those guys red-handed is a gem.

I feel very unsatisfied at the video since it doesn't seem like any justice was carried out.

Some justice was carried out, in that the media players were refunded their money and given a letter from Jiffy-Lube senior management.....and, though we don't know it for sure, some Jiffy employees fired. But it would probably be difficult or impossible to track down and give refunds to all of the car owners who (might) be involved. For some, it is simply going to be live and learn. Besides, at Jiffy Lube, you usually aren't talking about expensive service or repairs anyway....it's usually just smaller, simpler stuff. Of course, that doesn't justify sales fraud.
