Default Loaner Cars

So you guys know how alot of dealerships put rear window banners on cars to show that they are loaner cars right? I always end up with a lexus rx as a loaner with a huge banner on the back window saying the dealership name and that its a loaner car. I find this kind of embarrassing to drive with and shameless that I am promoting the dealership in trying to show off what kind of loaners I receive. Well i'm sure most of you guys have heard of luxurymotors.com. Anyway, I was walking to class today and saw a kid driving one of their courtesy vehicles.

I thought I had it bad, but wow... I think ill take a taxi.

I'd take the Lexus dealer banner on the back window all day and everyday rather than that.

Haha, wow that's very embarrassing. I'm glad to know that Lexus of Westminster just has the dealer frames for the license plate only, and no where with a hint of loaner or courtesy car.

thats the way it should be. Dealers shouldn't try to advertise through their customers. Yeah they are giving us a free loaner at a cost to them, but the key to customer loyalty is catering to us and not use us as some marketing ploy.

My dealer just has the plate frames (same ones that are on my RX, they're surprisingly nice polished aluminum) and dealer plates that say "Lexus XX" where XX is a number--they probably have about 30 plates. Aside from NOT having excess advertising, they even make your life easier by having a toll transponder attached to the front plate, so you don't have to remember to take yours out when you drop off your car. That's the way it should be done, IMO

Hennessy Lexus of Gwinnett does it real classy, no stickers at all except the small number on the top of the window so the valet can find the loaners. I've seen the local Infiniti, BMW, Audi loaners with the huge stickers and it is funny but I don't blame them for advertising.

My dealer doesn't have anything on the vehicle to make it look like a loaner.
I wouldn't mind a small ad but that banner is terrible.

All of the loaners at my dealership have license plates with the abbreviation of the dealership and a number (LEXOR##) plus their name in white letters along the top of the rear window (I don't like that part). Their cars have tollway transponders too.

Thankfully my Infiniti dealer doesn't have huge banners on their loaners, just small numbers on the top corner of the windshield. I don't want my loaner looking like a billboard.

You tell me. Yep, it's a black eye for the dealer when others see it: you got that as a loaner???

When that's the case, I opt for the shuttle: "Pick me up and drop me off".
I just sit back and relax
