If he bought and drives one, then how can he complain about it being a "Chick" car? That doesn't make sense.

(I agree with you, BTW, on automotive stereotypes...though they exist, most of them are either nonsense or close to it).

CLK and chick-cars was not the topic here, (even if I don't happen to categorize cars by gender).

Yeah....seems like what happened was that it started with the E550 coupe, and then drifted into other M-B coupes. And the E550, coupe or sedan, runs a goodly amount of cash........anyone who signs for one, male or female, needs to be at least fairly well-heeled.

From what I've noticed, M-B coupes don't sell as sell as well as sedans, especially in the E550 series. Though not as conservative as most S-Class buyers, E-class buyers seem to be conservative enough to generally prefer the sedans. I guess that is because many of them either have families or are buisnesspeople/agents that drive clients around, and need more back-seat room and ease-of ingress/egress than the E550 coupe would provide.
