Default Do ANY luxury cars get good MPG???

I am sick of the rediculous MPG im getting in all of the higher end cars I've owned.

My;
-SC430 gets 14mpg combined,
-3 series convertible gets 16 combined
-cadillac SRX and CTS got 18 and 20
-Jaguar S-type got 19
-my Lincoln Mark LT gets 10mpg
-my Dodge Viper gets 7mpg.....

My NSX with full engine build got 25! All I want is a nice car that averages 28mpg!

Well what size car do you want, what's your driving style, and where do you drive most often (freeways/surface streets)? The RX450h gets 30, I'm getting 28 on my IS350 (90% freeway), and the HS gets ~35ish.

You are in luck, Lexus just came out with the HS 250h, it can get 35 mpg in the city.

Did you modify any of your cars?

Bigger wheels, engine/exhaust mods, and such can all affect your gas mileage...

IS350 for example 20-21 combined, real world. Generally those shopping in the price ranges of premium lux/sport sedans find this kind of mileage acceptable, considering that gas expense is such a small percentage of household income.

^^^^This. My 3-series sedan currently gets 25mpg, even though it's in need of major suspension work and I'm doing 90% city driving. A few years ago when there was more highway in the mix, I averaged 31mpg for more than two years straight.

I would assume that an updated GS450h will be here soon (its due in my book anyway) which would probably put you close 28 MPG. I've heard of people getting as high as 34 MPG Hwy in the current.
