I'm sure Sean Combs is a good father. This isn't about him. I'm just saying that when you shower a young kid with extravagant wealth before they've probably even had a job, they usually go down the wrong road. Usually they go on expecting their wealthy parents will provide them every desire they have.
This isn't specific to Diddly, I would say the same for Bill Gates.
Part of parenting is instilling the value of hard work to earn nice things.
Sorry you don't agree.
But maybe this kid is different as he did donate. That's a good sign.

I'm not going to doubt this as a fact but I do recall him saying in an interview that in his household, they leave everything on the floor and it doesn't matter because the maids will pick it up. That's not a way for any father figure to act and he also mentioned his kids are allowed to do the same.

You do know that the whole point of birthdays is to spoil, as its all about receiving often in excess..or as much as the giver can according to his or her ability and discernment which varies from person to person. It initially reflects the attitude of the giver and not so much the receiver.
So really when I think about it, based on your logic everyone who celebrate birthdays are guilty of instilling the same thing in a/their child then
'expecting their financially capable parents will provide them every desire they have.'
the value of hard work to earn nice things.

my wife sometimes watches sweet 16 on MTV... that show should be banned.
I have no problem with parents leaving millions to their kids. But what values are you teaching your kid if you give them something like that?
I will hopefully be able to afford decent car for my kid, but at best I will get him used or new Yaris with 9 airbags and 1.0l engine.
I remember how i drove when i had 17... if i had faster car i would have certainly gotten myself into trouble.
