he said it's mostly highway driving that's probably the reason why the clutch is still good

I would have never thought a clutch would last that long under any conditions. I am impressed

I'm guessing your mileage was accumulated under more realistic conditions, so I think your miles are more impressive IMO.

Thanks for the compliment. Yes for the most part my miles are accumulated under realistic conditions such as commuting, weekend drives and some long distance driving as well (trips to Vegas and northern California, etc.).

There's 2 kinds of VTEC - VTEC-E which this Accord uses that runs on 3 valves until 2300RPM and the VTEC we've accustomed to with 2 different cam profiles that works at higher RPMs.

The 6th gen Accord was probably one of the few that I consider a bona-fide Honda before they started to look opon BMW and Audi for design influences. I still believe the 4th and 5th gen Accord were better made.

If the claim stands true, the owner had put more than $60,000 in gas alone (on a calculation of 30mpg, $2.5/g).

I'm sorry, no way the clutch made it that long.

Does this mean I can get a 100k+ mileage 97-2000 Civic SI and not be worried about it breaking down on me as a DD?
