I predict the announcement of the return of the Toyota Supra
I don't think we'll see that until the sales of the FT-86 takes off. Closest thing that will come before that is an IS-F coupe.

Not really. No Lexus will ever fill the spot of a Supra...it just won't happen

And I highly doubt we will ever see a IS-F coupe....F will likely stay 4 doors

That makes sense now that Nissan GT-R will go Hybrid next time around

I think you are wrong. I mean Next Gen F btw.

For a modern day Supra, 400hp won't cut it unless it weighs ~2800lbs. If they are gonna be half-assed about it, I'd prefer them not to bother.

With GR apparently working on such a car, I don't doubt it will come, I just don't think it will be a "supra".... unless the plan on pricing it and positioning it against the Z.

You are right, 400hp won't cut it. Toyota pretty much needs to copy the Nissan GT-R as that is what is the standard IMO of what a performance/super whatever you want to call the car is.

The GT-R weighs 3800lbs...just imagine how fast the GT-R would be if it weighed 2800lbs..for what its worth, the L-FA weighs in at 3300lbs and is not as quick as the GT-R...yeah lets hope they make a serious full attempt at a Supra

I dont think Toyota could build a car thats faster than the GTR for less. Bottom line is that to get 0-60 times like a GTR you need AWD ideally

1- They do not need to use the same formula. If you want a GT-R, Buy a GT-R.
2- 0-60 on paper numbers does not make the GT-R "Quicker" than the LFA. Let's not do this in this thread.
