The LS430/LS400's are probably the most reliable....
The paint is remarkable, interior fit and finish is quite nice, very little rattles, the newer models have the better non cracking leather, engines still run like day 1 after 200k+ miles....
As for 3rd Gen GS300AWD's being the least I think due to the Rattles, flimsy hardware, leaky CV boots?

Ill chime in and say that of our Lexuses, thte 400h has been the most reliable. At 50k miles it has had no problems, whereas our RX300 had several at that point. My bro's IS is okay, my dad's IS is pretty low mileage, has some squeaky interior pieces.

Yes, there are threads here where the RX300 has issues, I don't think as many for the RX350... I would have guessed that the IS would be one of the lest reliable, but that was just throwing a finger in the air...

Complexity does not necessarily mean unreliability, Mike....that is an old, inaccurate stereotype. There are other, reliable, non-Lexus models that are also rather complex.......witness the Infiniti M series, Acura RL, and Toyota Land Cruiser, though the Land Cruiser's design, of course, is shared with the Lexus LX.
I didn't mean that, I am saying that kudos to those with complex cars and strong reliability. A LS 600hL today is vastly more complex than an original LS 400 and I feel both have fantastic reliability.
Color US puzzled b/c we do not have any indications in the 3GS forum of the AWD model having specific issues. The issues the GS has had is across the entire line.

Because of Consumer Reports magazine. Most of us here (but not all) have a high opinion of CR's reliability database.....arguably, the best one in the buisness. They show the gas-powered GS300/350 AWD, unlike any other U.S.-market Lexus, with a consistant below-average rating, going back to its introduction in 2006-2007. That is not the case for the RWD model, which, like other Lexus products, has generally been better than average.

Of the four Lexus I've owned, my SC430 was a piece of crap. From the very start, the roof leaked, the headliner delaminated, the carped pulled away in places (rather than fix the small area, they replaced the entire carpet, which created even more problems. I had trim fall off, etc. The engine and drivetrain were fine, but the interior and the hardtop were a giant pain in the ***. I'm guessing I had no fewer than 20 unscheduled visits to the shop. I had brake issues with my LX450 and I blew out the stereo on the LS460L, but that's it. I LOVE the LS460L, it's otherwise been perfect.
